Sauk Valley Bank Named Recipient of 2023 IBA Community Service Award

STERLING, IL., July 25, 2023 – Sauk Valley Bank is proud to announce that it has been named a recipient of the 2023 Community Service Award by the Illinois Bankers Association and accepted the honor at the IBA’s Annual Convention held in Chicago, IL. this past month.

The IBA Community Service award honors financial institutions that go “above and beyond” in their community. Three awards are presented annually to financial institutions that demonstrate a high level of service in their communities. This award is distinct, in that it recognizes an institution’s entire community service portfolio, not just a single project.

“We are proud of the significant commitment Illinois bankers continue to make by sharing their time and expertise to improve their communities and help change people’s lives,” said Randy Hultgren, President, and CEO of the Illinois Bankers Association. “First National Bank of Waterloo, Republic Bank of Chicago, and Sauk Valley Bank have gone above and beyond to give back to the people and places they serve. We are proud to spotlight these banks for continuing the Illinois banking industry’s tradition of excellence in community service.”

“Sauk Valley Bank is extremely honored to have been named a recipient of this award. Our success is due in large part to the dedication of our employees. We are fortunate to have such an incredible team,” said Dirk Meminger, President and CEO of Sauk Valley Bank. “We believe that investing in our communities is a responsibility we must continually maintain. It’s more than simply making a donation; it is stepping in as a true partner to drive community initiatives. Whether it’s through providing financial education or supporting local organizations, when it comes to giving back, we want our communities to know they can count on us.”

Creating a positive impact and making a difference in the communities Sauk Valley Bank serves continues to be at its forefront. Since its inception, Sauk Valley Bank has strived to continuously work towards strengthening its communities, making it a key component of the culture.
